TREND: Paper Receptacles

Products holders made from paper pulp waste is the hot new topic in sustainable packaging. Paper bottles, pouches, tubes, capsules and cans are fast becoming a viable alternative to their previous plastic counterparts. These innovative receptacles use a thin lining made from plant fibres to contain the liquid and not contaminate the recyclability of the paper or cardboard outer shell. In this early stage, there is still a small amount of non-card or paper materials used in some paper packaging, but it’s only a matter of time before the entire receptacles is 100% biodegradable paper or cardboard.

Within the packaging industry, paper or cartonboard have become the material with the lowest environmental impact. Its manufacture reduces up to 60% of C02 and petroleum emissions compared to other commonly used materials.

Being 100% recyclable and biodegradable, corrugated cardboard is typically made from waste pulp, and degrades completely within one year in favorable climatic conditions such as a humid environment. In addition to generating no waste, you reduce materials, use it and recycle it. At present, corrugated boardand paper solutions are targeted to replace 21% of all plastic packaging. And this replacement trajectory is rising
